Carolina Foothills Foundation's 80's Concert Raises Over $7,000

Forest City, N.C. - April 21, 2023: The Carolina Foothills Foundation’s (CFF) 80’s tribute concert on Saturday, April 15 raised more than $7,000 thanks to the support of the community and sponsors. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go back into Rutherford and Polk Counties to fund eldercare, wellness and youth development programs. The concert was the foundation’s inaugural fundraising event and featured live music from the 1980’s tribute band, LazrLuvr, with many attendees dressed in fun outfits inspired by the decade.

Sponsors for the event included: premier sponsor Bank of America, Hospice of the Carolina Foothills/Agape Care Group, RHI Legacy Foundation, Invigorate Skincare Solutions, Main Street Family Medicine, T.E.A.M. N.C. - C. Phillip Byers, Breakthrough Chiropractic, King Law, and Edward Jones - Jason M. Harrill.

“We are so appreciative of all the people and businesses who supported our first fundraising event and we hope to make it an annual celebration,” said Rita Burch, Carolina Foothills Foundation CEO.

Later this June, the Carolina Foothills Foundation will be announcing its inaugural grant recipients, and several other activities are planned for the year including two more $5 Masquerade Jewelry fundraising sales in August and December, and the Prime of Life Senior Lifestyle and Wellness Event on Thursday, October 5, 2023. All events will be held at the foundation’s Carolina Event & Conference Center in Forest City, which is open for venue rentals, with all proceeds going back to charity.
