Patricia Keeter

Patricia Keeter is a retired educator and mental health therapist. She has served as a counselor, assistant principal, high school principal, and assistant superintendent prior to retiring from Rutherford County Schools. Pat was Head of Trinity Christian School for four years before furthering her career as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor. She worked for a local mental health agency counseling children and adults, as a grief counselor at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, and as a trauma-focused therapist for Family Resources working with sexually abused children and domestic violence victims.  

Pat is a member and past president of the Rutherford County Juvenile Crime Prevention Committee. She is also on the United Way Board of Directors and served as a past president. She has been a Hospice of the Carolina Foothills board member for several years and served during two capital campaigns. She was President of the Board during two different terms. She volunteers at her church as a teacher for an adult Sunday School class and Children’s Church.

Pat received her BS degree in Education, MA degree in Counseling, a Certificate of Advanced Study in counseling from Western Carolina University and completed the Principal’s Executive Program in Chapel Hill, NC. She is a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. 

Pat feels it is a great honor to serve on the board of the newly-formed Carolina Foothills Foundation. She believes this county will greatly benefit from the services it will provide. She is excited about the opportunities that will be brought to our area, especially for the elderly.
